freeorion software package provides turn-based space empire and galactic conquest game, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install freeorion
freeorion is installed in your system.
Make ensure the freeorion package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep freeorion *
You will get with freeorion package name, version, architecture and description in a table
